I would like to welcome all of our new members and say Thank You all for joining us in the kitchen! I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to read the ABOUT section of our group page. This is where you will find exactly what we, as a group, are looking for at the kitchen table - recipes that YOU and YOUR family have eaten at your table. This is NOT a group to share random pinned recipes from other sites, posts from other group pages, photos of ONLY food and no informational commentary to go along with them OR ADVERTISE FOR RANDOM ESTABLISHMENTS. There are enough of THOSE types of groups to go around. We are trying to accomplish one thing here - to keep our Louisiana TRADITIONS, STORIES, and CUISINE alive! This does not always mean by posting precise recipes but having discussions about the way that we go about recreating these dishes from our past. If you are not willing to share your ingredients, tips, stories, traditions, or recipes, THEN THIS GROUP IS NOT FOR YOU. And remember, Louisiana is full of MANY different food cultures all of which are what make us who we are today. BE KIND to other and follow the above mentioned rules and we will have a wonderful time in the Kitchen learning from EACH other and having a few laughs along the way.
