I would like to wish a special good luck to one of the best friends and training partners I have ever had, Mike Caruso, as he travels to L.A. for his first Worlds Strongest Man. They asked Mike to fill in after prepping for the XPC raw finals this weekend for about 3 months, which gave him 6-7 weeks to prepare. To sum it up and paraphrase a bit, Mikey told me that he was nervous as all hell, but he didnt in fact qualify. They asked him to fill in. So he said that his main focus was to go out there and learn and soak in as much as possible, so when he did eventually qualify, he would have experienced the process before, and get to use implements he has never had access to before. Mike is as humble as it gets, and the strongest human being I personally know. I have seen him do things that would cripple most men in training. He has beaten several WSM competitors before in other contests, but is plagued by his grip strength which cost him qualifying last year. One of the best overhead pressers in the world, and definitely one of the best overhead medley athletes in the world...best of luck big man!
