I would urge everyone to read this summation of how idiotic the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act (OBFA) is. I have provided those of you who have been around for a while with a running commentary. However we need to be as aware as possible, it might be you next. Essentially it panders to those with an anti-Irish disposition, who may be offended by expressions of Irish history/culture/politics and potentially likely to be incited to disorder. Indeed even if someone of that persuasion is not present a police officer can still decide that the test is met to enact the law. As I have asked repeatedly, why as a society that allegedly cherishes everyone equally do we not examine why these people would be offended. Instead of pandering to the predjudices?
