IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ART SWAP PEOPLE Our deadline for RECEIPT of parcels finished two days ago yet weve received over thirty messages from people who either havent received their parcel yet or are waiting to hear from their recipient--to ensure their parcels have arrived. Several senders have even begun investigating the whereabouts of parcels with Australia Post, all because the recipient hasnt bothered to leave a wall or personal message saying they have been received. On top of this, Ive recently heard from several people who have only just posted their parcels, either a few days before deadline or only just now. This is just not fair on other members who have made such an effort to get the swaps out on time. The post is notoriously slow at Christmastime and we did impress upon people that if you want to be involved, send your parcels early--otherwise do not join in the Swap. This has had a flow-on effect that has really stressed admin and wasted our time on liaising, chasing and following up on people. So, to the people who are still waiting and/or may not receive their swaps till after Christmas or even the new year, Im so sorry this has happened. Im disappointed this Swap hasnt gone as well as the last one where we had just one person report a slow parcel (which actually arrived on time). I know its Christmastime but you did have from 15 November. In light of all this, Ive made the decision never to run another Challenge Art Swap again. If you wish to organise your own swaps, please do so in your own time and at your own pace, but we just cant volunteer our time like this again if its going to become such a debacle. Feel free to post any personal swaps to the Wall--make sure you mark them with ART SWAP. Tx
