#INDIANSCORNER ( a cmnt by an Indian ) *Independence Day* Tomorrow as our nation beams in pride over sixty six years of freedom, as our leaders pat themselves on the back for doling out schemes to alleviate poverty that should not have existed in the first place, as seven thousand security personnel stand guard to protect the political class in a city where women are told to stay indoors at night, I want all of you to think if any of it makes sense. Our Prime Minister will proudly hoist the tricolor tomorrow, unmindful of the significance of the topmost color, saffron, that stands for valor, because valor is restricted to a symbolism on our flag. True valor of our soldiers who die on the border will not fetch any votes. The middle color White signifies peace. Peace that is being threatened every single day by internal and external threats. A riot here, a blast there, we all fall down. The bottom-most color green signifies prosperity. Of course, our political class and business class is pretty prosperous, but what about the labor class, the farmers and most importantly, the underemployed and unemployed? Prosperous or Preposterous?
