IREX Make a Better World Photo Contest Deadline- 31 July 2013 Participants across the globe are invited to participate in second annual photo contest organized by IREX. The theme of this contest is “make a better world”. Winners will have the opportunity to win grand prize of up to $500. Categories- Technology, Information & Participation – Photos should explore how technology helps citizens get the information, news and education they need to more fully participate in their own communities. Improving Communities- Photos should explore how citizens mobilize to address important issues related to conflict, the environment, gender, etc. Education & Employment- Photos should explore how education can prepare youth, women and others to participate in the workforce and improve the economic vitality of developing countries. Eligibility & Criteria- Entry is open to professional and amateur photographers of all levels who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry, regardless of residence or citizenship, provided the laws of the applicable jurisdiction permit participation.
