**IS THIS REALLY OUR PUNJAB?** EYE-OPENING | FACTS THE AUTHORITIES MUST UNDERSTAND: SIKHS ARE PEACEFUL, SIKHS ARE THE ONES PROTECTING THE INTERESTS & ATMOSPHERE OF PUNJAB | BABA RANJIT SINGH KHALSA DHADRIANWALE Link - Live Recording Video Clip, Gurmat Diwaan, 11 January 2015: https://youtube/watch?v=Atvn4bi6le8#t=74 Speaking about the hunger strike and the reasons behind the protests and campaigns around Punjab, Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale explain how the Sikhs have been using peaceful means in the hope that the just demands are accepted as a matter of urgency, and therefore the life of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is also saved as a result. Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa said Sikhs have not been agitating to disturb peace in the state, but in fact they have been trying to protect the peace. During the Diwaan in which thousands of people were listening, Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa said the authorities will also be present within the Sangat, and how they are continuously watching their every action, particularly more so in recent days where their movements have been restricted and they have been unable to get out of the Parmeshar Dwar gates. Fearlessly sending out a clear message of truth and reacting to accusations that they are invigorating the passions of the Sikh youth through so-called “Garam Parchar”, they said the authorities must understand that Sikhs are supporting this campaign through various means in order to protect the interests of Punjab. Sikhs do not have any enmity with the peace abiding Hindus or any other peace abiding citizens. Every human is free to practise their own religion, peacefully, as long as they are not hurting the sentiments of others. They said Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has been on hunger strike but is alive at this moment in time, so Sikhs have been peacefully protesting and promoting the campaign in order to secure the fulfilment of the just demands, thereby also saving the life of Bhai Sahib. If Bhai Sahib remains in Chardi Kalaa, then so will the peaceful atmosphere in Punjab. Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa said the authorities are claiming to be worried about Punjab and the youth, but in reality the Sikhs themselves are the ones who live in Punjab and obviously they themselves will always work in the interests of the state and the the Sikh youth. Sikhs feel the pain for Punjab, but it is a well-known fact that often an incorrect and flawed image is painted that Sikhs are disturbing the peace in Punjab. When Sikhs protest for just demands to protect the interests of Punjab, what happens? Sikhs are picked up from here and there, and thrown behind bars, those very Sikhs who are working peacefully only to maintain harmony by asking for the fulfilment of just rights. On the other hand, the same authorities are able to guard mere advertisement boards and posters owned by certain non-Sikh communities. Sikh youth are picked up and put in jail, but for others, even their posters are being protected. At this point it is with pain we have to ask ourselves the question - Are we living in Punjab? Is this our Punjab? It is then when Sikhs feel left out. On the one side they are protecting one communitys posters, on the other side they say if the Sikh community even slightly raise their voice they will silence them straight away. So what then are the Sikhs supposed to do? If the authorities claim they are worried about the atmosphere in Punjab, the Punjabis are just as concerned. Sikhs are not trouble-makers. All we are saying is not to ignore the peaceful demands of the Sikh nation being raised by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. In the event if peace is disturbed, then they will accuse us of giving “heated” and charged statements through “Garam Parchar”, blaming us for disturbing peace. Sixty days without food is a long time, naturally Sikhs are worried for their brothers life...
