Id had a difficult pregnancy; it was hard on my spine and hips, so I had to spend the last month in wheelchairs and zoomcarts, and was quite ready to have Lucy. I wanted to have her naturally, but the doctor was quite adamant that I couldnt do it, and she was probably right, with all of the spinal problems I had. It was the week of Thanksgiving and I was taken in a day or two before Thanksgiving for my C-Section. ALL of my husbands family was supposed to be flying in, and my stepbabies were coming, and I have to say, I was quite glad to be in the hospital, because the moment they came into town, they all seemed to get the flu! So, on the 23rd, I gave birth to a tiny, perfect angel. She opened her eyes and was so alert. She took to nursing so naturally and beautifully. She watched her daddy, so full of love. Five pounds, thirteen ounces of sweet, gelfling-like perfection, a head FULL of soft dark brown hair. Her cry was so tiny and cute, like a kitten mewling for love. Shed smile in her sleep, even so soon after birth. And I felt wonderful. I felt like my life were complete. Lucille Ruth Bonnett grew tall and sweet, with dark brown eyes and an angels smile, and an attitude thatd make Satan think twice about messing with the family. Shes so smart, I love her with all of my heart, and she makes me complete, despite the fact that she makes me wanna pull my hair out occasionally. My angel turned 4 today! What a sweetheart, who, when the populace whod showed at our Amtgard park sang to her, she quietly said, Thank you... Next year, shell start school. Sam is a proud brother, and protective over her; theyre best friends, and I hope that stays that way. Best friend siblings are the best thing to have. I miss mine. Happy birthday to my princess, named after her father and my grandmothers. I love you, angel.
