Id like to first thank my father in law on this day for his service. Im so proud of my Purple Heart veteran. Ive heard many stories from during the time he served our country. From getting drafted, to spending days cold and wet, afraid to sleep at night, to the moment he got wounded, and probably one of the hardest things for me to hear was him going hungry and not eating for a week. Many people dont realize how much our men and woman go through to fight for our country, our freedom. Besides the fact leaving their home, family and friends to go fight for us, they come back home changed people many suffering from the things they have seen and experienced. Many times our country has failed to provide these men and woman with the care they need. Many men and woman fought for us only to come home and have no one fighting for them. This is not right, any man or woman willing to risk their life to protect others should never be uncared for when they return. I pray this problem has decreased since it has been brought to light. I pray our veterans get the honor and respect they deserve. If you know a veteran take time today and say thank you. Listen to their stories and know you are blessed to have known someone who risked it all for so many people. Happy Veterans Day! #somegavesome #somegavesall
