Id love to share what Im discovering so far at the Year-End Course here in Puerto Vallarta. Heres a bit... Discourses (conversational phenomena) exist both in speaking and listening. The thing I call I or me is imbued with properties like thoughts, feelings, opinions, points of view and body sensations that I take as accurate barometers of reality and which operate at the automatic level. As such, they create ontological perceptual and functional constraints that limit my being and action. To live my life as is, that I is perfectly suffucient. Now, inside of all that limited speaking, listening, perceptual and functional constraint, Im trying to listen for the knock of hidden alternatives in areas that are important to me, particularly in making a lasting impact in leadership as a source of transformational social good and in global citizenship that wraps us all up in a garment of mutual destiny. Not likely. Mostly Im listening for my body sensations, opinions and thoughts. My back hurts and I think I might try dying my hair. My default I is insufficient. Hmmm. Were still looking and discovering. More as I discover more.
