If America really has a shortage of engineers, mathematicians, and scientists then why can you go to any large university in this country and easily find dozens if not hundreds of people in their 30s or 40s who have a Masters Degree or PhD in the hard sciences who are working for about $25,000 to $30,000 per year in low level research jobs or post-docs? I content is a LIE to say America has a shortage of scientists. This LIE is perpetuated by right-leaning think tanks who want to make ordinary people accept more temporary H1B visas to allow Big Companies to import people from foreign companies to take jobs from American middle class workers and to drive down wages in these fields.
