If I am ever sorry for anything, I am sorry that people feel the need to tell me how I ought to be. I am sorry that people feel that they are justified in deriving an ought from an is when they are not. I am further sorry that they use a baseless justification to justify either punishing or rewarding me. I am not saying people ought not do this, only describing the terms of the absurdity and how I feel about this absurdity. I feel sorry for such absurdity and the role it plays in my dealings with people. I do not doubt how people feel, only the implications of their feelings. An ought is always the implication of a feeling. I implicate nothing. I simply feel. I am human and do not wish to distract myself from this point. What people ought to do is only ever a distraction from what people are, and what people are doing.
