If I didnt live in Boulder, Id want to visit -- often. Sunny summer weekends provide an abundance of things to do. Weekly Boulder Country Farmers Market. Tea festival at Dushanbe Tea House. Up the pike in Longmont, Boulder Country Fair. Downtown sidewalk sale this weekend. Hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing, etc. Evening Colorado Shakespeare Festival on CU campus and Colorado Music Festival at Chautauqua. And tomorrow, Ironman Boulder, with 3,000 triathletes registered -- making it the largest Ironman ever, anywhere. Starts with 2.4-mile swim, then 112-mile bike ride and finishes downtown with full 26.2-mile marathon. Local paper reported that Apolo Anton Ohno (short-track speedskating star) is in town to get some tips from Ironman veterans, since he is planning to compete in Kona later in the year. Note that lineup of port-potties in a bank parking lot, which shows that Boulder knows how to handle crowds.
