If I had a choice --- television or a movie --- for my beloved Lestat, which do you think I should choose? What if I could have a quality series with Showtime or some marvelous creative network? Should I go that direction instead of feature films? What do you think? ---What would Lestat want? Im asking him. Were sitting in a cafe together right now, him and me, and were talking about it. Hes wearing his violet sunglasses of course, and a slightly dusty black velvet coat, cut close like an old frockcoat, and worn but beautifully fitted jeans. And hes doodling on a paper napkin with a fine black pen as we talk. His gorgeous yellow hair is loose and long over his shoulders. His skins burned because he does that often now, let the sun burn it because its easier than covering up the preternatural whiteness, the inevitable gleam. Hes pondering. Im pondering. As if we had a choice.
