If I had taken this image in Tadoba, it MIGHT have found favour with the picture editors for The Tadoba Inheritance coffee table book, which will soon be out. But this was in the Masai Mara! This leopard spent 45 minutes over-powering a wildebeest and then dragging to through a dry riverbed to the canopy of a tree... to hide it from vultures, she walked 300 metres to her waiting cub who followed her to the kill. Once there, the little fellow seemed more interested in chasing lizards than eating. What an incredible sighting! How lucky we are to be alive at a time when such creatures are around to enrich our lives.
