If anyone is good at chemistry can tell me if this is right please. Ionization energy is the energy that it takes to remove an electron from an atom which corresponds with the size of the atom. i.e. smaller atoms like fluorine will have a higher ionization energy requirement then say lithium, and the larger the atom and the more close it is to the left of the periodic table the less ionization energy it takes to remove an atom
