If there was even an inkling of doubt that we live in a society with white supremacy as its most sacred virtue, be it dispelled tonight in Ferguson. Ironically, this latest manifestation of the absolute disregard for Black Lives in white eyes, especially petrifying after the acquittal of Zimmerman, will be the clarion call for the renewed dismantling of white supremacy. Ferguson has proved itself into a movement, not just a moment. Black people exist hardly as more than mere threats to public order, routinely and justifiably disposed of. That is not the life of a citizen; that is the life of a sub-human. Even animals are afforded more protocols for a humane death. The only protocol afforded us is to shoot at will and shoot to kill--due process is actually the shield of all those who would do us harm.
