If you are a reputable 501c3 Rescue in Texas and can pull Eli to safety, our Deaf Dogs Rock Community will sponsor Eli into your rescue for a $200.00 sponsorship fee. Conroe TX - Eli is a 14 month old deaf dog (lab mix) was adopted from the Conroe Animal Adoption Center as a puppy the first of February and now brought back after almost a year being in a home. They said he barks too much. He has only been there a couple of days, but he is already depressed. He stays curled up with his back to the front of the kennel and is so scared. He doesnt growl or bite he just looks scared. They are keeping Eli back in the stray hold area where they are keeping him (they are not even putting him in the adoption room). A volunteer slowly approached him, petted him slowly and he responded by licking her hand. He never showed any aggression what so ever. He is so sweet. Just confused, And what a place to be in to begin with and being deaf. Eli is a beautiful dog that looks like he may have some Lab or hunting dog in him. He a rescue to help him get out of the shelter and soon. He wont last long there. He is a year and 2 months old, neutered, up to date on all his shots. Plus he is HW negative. Any help you can give this guy, I would really appreciate it. I really believe this boy should have a chance and he wont here.
