If you are going to Sneak Peek this Friday - you can start helping us with our new fall fundraiser: "No Purchase Necessary" Fundraiser! Our Alafia PTA is proud to continue our work supporting our elementary school. Funds that the PTA raise go directly to programs and resources that benefit all the children in the school. For example, over $3000 of this year’s PTA budget goes to the school’s licenses for electronic resources such as Renaissance Place and Brain Pop as well as movie licenses. We also help fund programs like Field Day, Math Bowl and assorted other programs for teachers and students. Your PTA membership dollars help toward those funds. However, we have traditionally run fundraisers to finance these school endeavors. THIS YEAR, instead of sending your child home with paper after paper asking for you to buy cookie dough or coupon books, we are just asking for a “no purchase necessary” donation to the PTA. 100% of your donation goes directly to funding educational resources and classroom supplies as well as fun activities for your family. Our goal this Fall is to raise $7500 in donations. This donation drive will replace the PTA Fall Fundraiser. And if we as a school meet this goal by JAN 31st, our Spring Fling on March 1st will be FREE* for your entire family. (*Food and cake walk excluded.) To meet our goal, each grade has a goal to raise $1250. As each grade meets milestones ($250, $625 & $1250), the PTA will reward that entire grade with a small prize. The grade to reach $1500 first will receive a MYSTERY prize for the entire grade. We are thankful for all of your past support. And we thank you ahead of time for your support this year. We look forward to making this year a fantastic GATOR “no purchase necessary” year!
