If you do full depth squat snatches, watch this video. You should be able to get into this overhead squat (OHS) position BEFORE you try to snatch and catch weight in this position. If you cant get into the bottom of an OHS with control and good form, you are compromising efficiency and risking injury by continuing to snatch. This is because youre sacrificing your position to get under the weight. What should you do? Work on your OHS and figure out how low you can go with control. Then use that as your stopping point for snatches. As your OHS depth improves, so will your snatch depth.
