If you have a problem with anything I say, confront me or delete me. The only officers I would ever support are the ones willing to lose their career for what is right. Too many officers are too afraid of repercussions of snitching or stopping another officer from using too much force. Officers are just as human as the rest of us. They feel all the same emotions. They just want to go home at night as well. Even at their most pissed off or scared, society needs to be able to rely on officers to do what is morally right. I have been listening to the Ferguson pd scanner non stop even still. We have more troops in Ferguson that overseas fighting terrorists right now. This isnt just about pissed off thigs looting. There are heavily armed militia in Ferguson firing directly at officers and their vehicles. The fact that only one person has been confirmed dead due to all this is beyond me. I downloaded all 4,799 pages of case files. Darren was terrified. I dont blame him. Do I think his life was in danger enough to kill Mike, not exactly. Do I think he deserves jail? No. But I do think its about time officers get more high stess training. It sounds more like Mike wanted to fist fight to get away from the police to keep his clean record for college before back up arrived to help Darren. Darren was driving by Mike when he was told Mike may have been armed after the cigarillos were stolen. Mike comes over and confronts Darren while sitting in his vehicle. He hits Darren once below his eye. Darren immediately draws his weapon to shoot him. Mike thinks hes about to get shot so he grabs the weapon like anyone would do after punching someone and says you wont actually shoot me pussy, while holding the weapon. That seems odd. Why say that while taking someones gun? Mike hits him again after Darren pulls the trigger and apparently it doesnt fire. Darren tries to shoot Mike a second time. Gun still wont shoot. He tries a third time and it takes part of Mikes thumb. Mike backs off and gets shot the second time in his arm. Mike runs away. Darren gets out of the vehicle. He says stop and put your hands up, Mike does for a split second and then charges back at Darren. After being shot in the arm and the thumb, Mike is obviously pissed. Darren unloads four more into him because he assumes if he takes another hot from Mike it may kill him. The sixth bullet to the top pf his dead kills him. The story sounds sketchy to me because all three autopsies said there were some discrepancies to Darrens story. Evidence adds up enough and I couldnt possibly see Darren killing some kid cuz he wanted to, but if anyone puts a gun in my face (which has happened) Im going to try to get it out of my face. That could be seen as trying to turn it on the person but I also see it as trying to disarm someone so you arent shot. Especially because Darren drew the weapon after being punched and immediately pulled the trigger. If Mike didnt grab the weapon, he was going to be shot anyway. So... theres 4,799 pages all summed up. Basically Darren is a pussy and thats his alibi. If I shot everyone that punched me in the face, Id be a serial killer. However, I dont think he deserved jail. He just never needs to wear a badge again. I skimmed through all of it cuz Im obsessive like that.
