If you have found it more difficult to be inspired or proactive - TopicsExpress

If you have found it more difficult to be inspired or proactive lately, rest assured you are not alone. The kabbalistic calendar provides us with the knowledge that there are certain times of the year when the universe is aligned in such a way that we feel we can accomplish anything, while there are other times we don’t even feel like getting out of bed. We are now in the middle of Ben ha’Mitzarim, or The Three Negative Weeks, which in 2013 takes us through July 16th, believed by many to be the most negative day of the year, marking the anniversary of several calamities throughout biblical and modern history, most notably the destruction of both Holy Temples. There is a heaviness to the energy in the cosmos right now that might make us feel sluggish. This is also a time when our selfish nature seems to rear its ugly head more than ever. Many of us may even be facing some serious challenges, or our certainty could be tested. Still, the kabbalists teach that no matter what, there is always a way out of the darkness, and into the Light. In fact, the Rav used to refer to Ben ha’Mitzarim not as a time of negativity, but of miracle making! How is that possible? The Rav knew that there is actually more Light available than usual during these days, because the tough times are like a fast-track to the finish line of manifesting our greatest potential. By transforming our selfishness now, when it is most difficult to do so, we can hasten the removal of all that holds us back, changing destructive patterns, and creating new behaviors in their wake. We can become the better person we are destined to be. With this shift in our consciousness, we realize this is not a time to be fearful, but one to awaken urgency in tackling the really difficult work we must do to make positive change in our lives. Any amount of darkness is always equal to the amount of Light that can be revealed. This week can be one of the most powerful of the entire year, if we let it. We will be shown things we need to change, and given chances to rise above our limitations. If we seize the opportunities, we will come out the other side stronger, more certain, and with a greater awareness of our own capabilities.
