If you have insurance with National General Insurance Company -- RUN! Change companies. This company is apparently really frigging shady! I am beyond pissed off right now. They cancelled my new policy, but kept my old policy going. The old policy costs twice as much, and is in a different state... thus, Ive been driving illegally, with out of state insurance... not to mention insurance attached to an address that I no longer live at. I only found this out because the state revenue service sent me a letter stating that my insurance policy has been cancelled, and I owe the state money for having a lapse in my insurance. I then called NGIC - they reinstated my account, but turns out they charge you $132 to get the policy -- like a membership fee.... which did not go towards my policy monthly billing. Something seems really shady. Im going insurance policy shopping ASAP.
