**If you have never read one of our posts, I am begging you to read this one** We are currently in total crisis mode. Earlier today we received a call from our vet that sweet Daria (pretty girl that was hit by a car and taken to the shelter) has much bigger problems than we ever could have imagined. We found that she has a diaphragmatic hernia (a hole between the chest cavity and her stomach area caused by the trauma of the car) in addition to a severely broken leg that needs amputated. Last night we said that she appeared to be in liver failure. Today we understand why. With this hernia, her liver has been twisted and pushed up into her chest cavity along with other organs. This is causing her to go into liver failure and without emergency surgery at Ohio State Veterinary hospital, she will not make it past tonight. After discussing and weighing our options, we have chosen to do the surgery. We are currently rushing her to Columbus, OH (3 hours away) to get this surgery done TONIGHT. We need your help. This is the part that we truly cannot do without you. This surgery is going to cost between $5,000 and $6,000. Why spend that much money on a dog, some might ask. Daria is a two year old sweetheart that has so much more to accomplish in her life. She has obviously not known love or a family in these two years and we simply could not pass this up. This surgery will SAVE HER LIFE as well as make it possible for her to live a normal, happy, healthy life. We understand if you do not support this decision because of the cost, but we need everyone on board to accomplish this. We HAVE to raise at least half of the money by tonight! If you know of ANY companies, people, anyone that would be willing to donate towards this surgery..we are a 501c3 Non profit organization and your donations can be tax write offs. We are begging everyone to SHARE, like the post, comment on the post, share the fundraiser, donate a dollar if you can! We cannot do this without you. Talk to co-workers, family members, and friends and ask them to donate. Please help us save Darias life!
