If you know any businesses that would like to contribute please read... 13TH ANNUAL “HELPING HANDS GOLF OUTING” June 3, 2013 Dear Friend, A charity golf outing is being held on July 20, 2013 to benefit Mackenzie Maines, a three year old diagnosed with mitochondrial disease. This disease has resulted in numerous conditions including stage 1 throat cancer, cerebral atrophy, stage 2 chronic kidney disease, a neurogenic bladder (does not work on its own) and gut dismobility (requiring a feeding tube for nutrition and a specialized formula costing $572.00 every twelve days). There is no cure for Mackenzie; doctors can only treat the symptoms which will continually progress. She will require continual care and surgeries for the rest of her life. Despite family medical insurance, the costs associated with her care are astronomical; and all proceeds from the outing will help cover expenses. You can help make the benefit a success by becoming an event sponsor. Following are the sponsorships we are seeking: Hole Sponsor: Sponsors making a cash donation will be recognized via signage on the golf course. There is no minimum donation for a hole sponsor, and checks should be made payable to “Helping Hands Golf Outing”. Raffle Sponsor: Sponsors making a donation to our raffle/silent auction or golfer goody bags will be recognized via a flyer given to each golfer. Additionally, if you send business cards with your donation, we will distribute them to the golfers. Your past support of this annual golf outing has benefited Natalie Gilday, Alex Porta, the surviving children of Donald Foster, Elizabeth Hericks, Madison Dornbusch, Ethan Marlman, Timothy Roos Memorial Fund, Robin Broxterman Memorial Fund, Jailyn Bumbalough, Adele Jacob, Natalie Collins and Mady Rouse. The Helping Hands Golf Outing has grown tremendously, and last year’s sponsors gained exposure to a captive audience of approximately 200 individuals. The outing provides a great opportunity for increased visibility for your business while lending a helping hand to a child in need.
