If you live in West Town, Ukrainian Village, or Wicker Park, please try to attend this meeting for Forbidden Root. This craft botanical beer brewery would like to open on Chicago Ave and the East Village Association is trying its hardest to block it. This meeting will determine the fate of Forbidden Root on Chicago Ave. If there is enough support at the meeting, there is a possibility that it may be able to open here in West Town. Ultimately, its not about Forbidden Root. Its about a small neighborhood group having control over what does and not happen in our neighborhood. As residents, we should all be outraged that this business (and Brooklyn Bowl) was turned away in the first place without asking the community what the rest of us thought about it. No more vacant buildings in 2014! Yes to community development along Chicago Ave!
