If you want a glimpse into my crazy brain then let me tell you about Candy Crush devotionals!! (Sorry it takes a while... if you arent interested have a wonderful day anyway!) People have different opinions about Candy Crush, and I respect that. As for me, I love to sit down at the end of a long day and watch the pretty colors and catchy tunes and sound effects, make the right combinations that will explode into solutions!! It is very satisfying! It is more than that though. When my brain finally has a chance to slow down to ponder, I think about what it takes to solve each given puzzle. Sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it takes weeks just for one puzzle!! The longer it takes, the more my mind concentrates on what could be the possible solution. That is when the realizations begin. I was stuck on level 86 FOREVER!! I was so excited to pop out 3 in a row... or 4 in a row for a stripe...or 5 in a row for a color bomb, but I never had enough time left to solve before the game ended. I realized that the most important part wasnt all of the theatrics, if was that you just needed to get into the core of it and get rid of it. You needed to make your moves MEANINGFUL and not theatrical. I felt like it was a lesson about my life. Perhaps God was letting me know how much more important it is to be meaningful than to be big and exciting and colorful. I am more conscious of my words to my loved ones and friends, or the time I spend looking at my students and really listening as they speak. It seems as though when I figure out what God is trying to tell me from each puzzle...then I solve it.
