If youd like to know why the convenience stores were torched, please do read the following: Those quickie marts are incredibly predatory in their practices in poor neighborhoods and cities (like Newark NJ or Camden NJ) where there are *NO* national stores, no grocery stores (Im not kidding you), no NOTHING but quickie marts??? We all know how outrageous they are with prices, and how horrible the food is. Now combine that with not having access to public transport and having it as the only choice to buy food? Thats why they were torched - anger, rage, and injustice, and although I also think its dumb, we have to find out *why* it is so dumb. Theres a logical reason (usually) behind many, many things. I understand their rage completely. Eventually, commercial investment falls off as well, and basic amenities like grocery stores and banks begin to disappear, leaving only predatory businesses like pawn shops and liquor stores. pbs.org/race/000_About/002_06_c-godeeper.htm
