If your child was guilty of a serious crime, such as, murder, manslaughter ie. Drink driving etc, armed robbery, serious assult, rape, theft, kidnapping or similar, how do you think would you react? and how do you think you would deal with it long term? Assuming they were willing to accept the full consequences of their actions do you think you would stand by them and try to forgive them, without condoning their actions or try to move on without them in your life and leave them to face the consequences and deserved ridicule alone?
