If you’re having any thoughts of signing up for #Comcast #Xfinity, DONT DO IT!!!! I did and I sincerely regret it. Don’t get me wrong, the equipment is great and even the X1 platform is great but the customer service is a devilish nightmare! I signed up for Comcast on June 25, 2014. A sales rep was in my neighborhood, he was kind and quick and he sold me with a $150.00 Visa card that I have still to receive even though my contract simply states that I would receive it within 90 days. My installation was set up for the following week but to my delight they expedited the installation for June 27. A Friday, June 27 was a Friday, which I suppose is date night. So the installer comes to do the installation and everything has gone down hill since then. The installer shows up and cut my existing satellite to use their cables in my attic to speed up the installation process. The installer kept receiving texts and phone calls which he admitted was his girlfriend and that he was late for his date with her. So he gets the signal to both of the locations but only one of them works. He tried 3 separate boxes on one tv and then told me he would have to come back next week because he could not get the one box to work correctly. He gave me his personal phone number and asked me to call him and not Comcast directly. I obliged and called him, for several days and he never answered or responded, so I called Comcast. They sent out a technician to complete the install. I should have asked them to remove their equipment at that point but I guess I thought at some point Comcast would show they cared. About a month later I get a phone call from Comcast saying they had detected poor signal going into my home and they want to send out a technician. The tech shows up and says they have to replace the cable that comes from their Comcast box to my outside box on my house. The cable is two houses down from my yard. The tech says he will have to put out a temporary cable and they will send out a crew in a few weeks to bury a new line. That was months ago. Why doesnt that surprise me. The cable runs through my yard, across my neighbors driveway and into another neighbors yard, two homes away. The cable across my yard is nuisance. I have called several times and have gotten no answers as to when the cable will be removed/buried. Once I called and the representative said they had received at least 5 other calls from my neighbors about the cable. The latest call has me completely stumped because I was told they do not even have a contract at all with my name on it. I was given an escalation ticket number and told that someone would call me. They did, they called after 9PM EST, I was in bed (duh), they left a message. I returned the call the next day and have been waiting for weeks for a return call. I’m still waiting. I have my copy of the contract that states that I would receive a $150 Visa within 90 days. That time came and went and nothing showed up and I am told nightie will show up because I dont have a contract WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS??? I am tired of nothing being done to accommodate me as a paying customer. I simply want what my contract said I would receive. An apology would be nice and for good grief’s sake, can someone come bury this stupid orange cable? Comcast is so big they think they can treat their customers any way they want. So if youre thinking about signing up with Comcast, just don’t! The customer service is non existent, I feel completely powerless and devalued as a customer.
