Illuminating Light... But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” -Eph 5:13-14 The whole world were in darkness so long the knowledge of God and satan are concerned until Jesus came; He came to enlighten us intellectually or spiritually; enabling us to understand what the past generations never understood. • This is how John made this truth known to us; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it...That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world...as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth...And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. (John 1:1, 3-5, 9, 12, 14, 16-18 NKJV) • And Jesus says, All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him...For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops...In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight...blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it. (Matthew 13:16-17. Luke 10:21-22; 12:2-3 NKJV) • Jesus came not as the light of the world but the Light of the world, exposing God and satan to all men; no one has ever seen God but Jesus and He reveals God to us, making all things of God understandable. He also exposed satan the devil and destroy its work; ...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. (I John 3:8 NKJV) > Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the [illuminating] light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in [any form of] darkness, but have the [illuminating] light of life.” (John 8:12 NKJV) • In Christ Jesus, God is the LORD, And He has given us light..., So we can boldly say; The LORD is my light and my salvation...The LORD is the strength of my life... (Psalms 27:1; 118:27). > For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord...For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. (II Corinthians 4:5-7 NKJV) • You cant have Jesus and walk in darkness of ignorance and religion. He illuminates everyone in Him. He gives us rest - Matt 11:28-29. He teaches us the whole truth by the Holy Spirit - Jn 16:13-15. For God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. (I John 1:5) > Religious people dont have Christ in them so they walk all in darkness; the bible is too hard for them to understand and interpret, so they call it mysterious book, and they are blinded more by reading the Old Testament - 2Cor 13-15. Things of God are hidden to them because it is parables to them; And Jesus says, Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’ (Matthew 13:13-15 NKJV) • This is how Jesus went further to expose why the religious people dont understand the truth; He said to them, Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word...But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me...He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:43, 45, 47 NKJV) > They claimed to be of God and have Gods word but Jesus said they arent, because they did not have His word in them. Its the word of Jesus Christ that illuminates and liberates people from the ignorance and bondage of religion; Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32 NKJV) • The word of Jesus must first abide in you to illuminate you, and until then you are blind and a sinner; Jesus says, As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world...For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.” Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains. (John 9:5, 39-41 NKJV) • And for those religious Christians who warns the true believers against judging them, Jesus says, for judgement I have come into this world. He sent us to judge too - Jn 7:24. > We judge according to the truth, for the light of Christ is shining in our hearts and giving us ability to judge by the power of the Holy Ghost; We are spiritual judges, But the natural(religious) man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. (I Corinthians 2:14-15 NKJV) • There are also sleeping/ignorant believers who dont care to know the truth, so they let the dog lie. They dont want to offend anyone with the message of Christ Jesus. They know the truth but dont want to say it for fear of what people will say or do to them. > To such believers, Paul said; Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. • Wake up saints of God in Christ Jesus, rise from your hiding and Christ will shine on you and through you; it is time to expose the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, and to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11) + Do not let scandal quench the light in you! + Do not let persecution quench the light in you! + Do not let religious people quench the light in you; come out from them - 2Cor 6:15f. > For “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV) • As sons of God in Christ Jesus, you are the illuminating light of the world, and the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
