Im BA-aaaak! Not a OMG moment but some minor glitches. 1.) My platelets are still low. Likely a residual effect of radiation but they expected they would have bumped back up by now. They did use the big gun proton radiation, so maybe? I need them rechecked in another month. I can have them drawn on the Cape, so no trip to Boston. If they are still low at that point, theyll refer me to a hematologist. 2.) There is (and has been since the H-U-G-E stitches came out) a bump on the north pole of my incision. It hurts if I bump it, my original lump did not. It could possibly be a granuloma around the retained sub-cutaneous sutures. It hasnt changed but he doesnt like it. So next time I go in 3 months Ill get another MRI. Maybe a small revision of the area. I have enough skin in that area that a graft would most likely not be needed. 3.) Chest XRay looks the same to them but I have to wait for the final report from the Radiologist. Next appointment is in April....thats all the news thats fit to print!
