Im a bit troubled by something that just happened... I took a walk to the corner store near my house just now and as I walked in, there were three guys making really blatant cat calls at a girl walking by on the other side of the street. She paid them no mind as they continued to throw innuendo her way. At first my inclination was to confront them and ask what they expected to accomplish by disrespecting a woman and if they find that treating women like pieces of meat yields results for them, but instead I wimped out. There were three of them and all three at least my size or larger. I envisioned it going from a verbal criticism to a physical beat-down pretty quickly. So now I feel troubled that I did nothing. I walked into the store, bought what I came for and left. It was a minor incident, but it is a snapshot of an obviously much wider problem. Thoughts?
