Im a meat lover but Im always aware that for us its an unnecessary consumption at the expense of millions of animals lives. The only thing that makes it reasonably ok for me to tuck into a meal is knowing that the animals are stunned before being slaughtered. Id personally like to see Halal meat being labelled so I can avoid buying it. Animals being alive and having their throats slit then being left to suffer while bleeding to death is a dish that I most certainly wouldnt have served at my table. No matter how many prayers were said for it. Theres kinder options available. As Denmark said - Animals rights come before religion.
