Im a nurse and Im embarrassed by the way my community of Maryland has received the news of a modern day patriot coming to our area. Everyone forgets that this girl took care of a dying man...someones son...brother...friend...this nurse took care of this man knowing how virulent Ebola is...do you think she was scared? Still is? i cannot tell you how many times Ive taken care of those with various diseases (not ebola YET) and felt concerned...but guess what? I did anyway cause someone had to do it...now this nurse who knowingly put her health at risk is sick...we healthcare professionals deal with this Crap constantly. And then she gets shunned? Waa waa waa cry babies... Why bring her to NIH? Because it is the best thing for this woman...daughter...nurse who has had her body invaded, her privacy invaded...and her damn face plastered all over the news...(so much for HIPPA) ...shame on all who feel that way...instead of treating her as a leper, how about we treat her at a patriot who took one for the team? Sounds patriotic to me...
