Im a parent of four. My oldest is 17 and finally had a colonoscopy after 6 months of asking and years of G.I. issues: weight loss, vomiting, cramping, diarrhea, constant blood loss from bowel. After going to E.R. in March and finding her dehydrated, anemic and blood work indicating severe inflammation, we finally were approved for the scope. Had it yesterday and shows 40cm of inflammation in colon. Biopsies were taken but nurse said, unofficially, looks like an IBD. We go in to see doctor in two weeks for results. Any ideas what questions I should ask? More tests I should enquire about? This is all new to me BUT I knew something wasnt right. She is now on oral and suppository steroids.
