Im a road less traveled kind of person and have been in my element for the last two days. We are taking a little trip to keep Mrs. Hs PTO under 400 hours. Shes always wanted to see Bryce and Zion NP and I have always wondered what was in the Great Basin so thats what we are doing. HWY 50 through the center of Nevada is simply vast glorious immensities of vacant desolation with a beauty indescribable. I seem unable to capture any pictures that can explain a horizon to horizon vista devoid of trees or buildings yet with such captivating geography. I wish I could drive it back and forth a few more times...hundreds of miles of it. This passage was home to the pony express, overland stage and transcontinental telegraph and countless boomtown mining opperations, Nothing here now but the loneliest highway in America and thats a fact.
