Im always just seconds away from devastation...I overheard this song a few minutes ago and just about lost it. In 1983 MTV was still relatively new. I am by no means a fan of Anne Murray but I this song was released just a few months before my shipmates and I were deployed to Beirut, Lebanon as part of the United States Multinational Force Lebanon. I remember hearing this song and thinking, Wait until we get there! Well fix em! What a joke and what a waste of life, material, and money. In August of 1983 Anne Murray summed up exactly what I would need 31 years later. The audio isnt the best but the video is very real and accurately shows what was happening in our part of the world.
