Im at a loss for words, like many Australians waking up to this - TopicsExpress

Im at a loss for words, like many Australians waking up to this mornings terrible news about the events that unfolded last night. I feel relief that it is over, and that 15 hostages escaped with their lives. I feel gratitude to the police and emergency services for the way they so swiftly and capably dealt with this. I feel gratitude that most Australians are banding together, are not going immediately to hate and anger and nastiness, but are approaching this in a manner of unity, determined to keep the Peaceful Australian spirit alive with understanding and compassion for their fellow man. Please continue to do this - love is going to spread peace, which above all is what we need more of during times like now. I feel relief that the gunman was an Individual acting on his own - his distorted, disturbed view of the world has tarnished the peace of our country but his actions have also banded together our country Above all, I feel sorrow for the families and the 2 hostages who lost their lives. Prays, love and strength to them all during this time - nothing that anyone can say can make up for the loss that these families are experiencing at present. Prays of strength to the 4 injured hostages and the injured police officer that they all recover quickly. Prays of strength to anyone and everyone who needs it this morning. Peace and love to all my family and friends and our Community and Country
