Im bewildered when I think of what the effects are of this. (Working towards a robot that can play baseball better than any human.) 1. Its both eerie and makes me laugh and sad, all at the same time. 2. I wonder if we end up going to watch robots play baseball (presumably it switches to a competition of robotics, where we still dont know whos going to win a game). Presumably same for rugby and basketball, etc. 3. Maybe therell be a transition phase where robot-augmented players compete (wearing exoskeletons and wearable computer devices that have advanced abilities). 4. Probably we end up inhabiting the robots. They replace our biological bodies. 5. Even if they do, life still will go on the same - because of the inevitable internal and external tyranny of choices.
