Im either insane or too much of a perfectionist. I can only remember one time in my life having ordered a decorated cake and having it be what I wanted,and that was from Karen Wooten, and she went above and beyond~ When my son got married I ordered a sheet cake for the house, between the wedding and the reception, and I wanted it all white, including the top to be COMPLETELY covered in flowers,no writing. When I picked it up, flat top, no flowers, like it was waiting for someone to write on it. a few years ago I ordered an 8x11 to be decorated LENGTHWISE and not the typical width wise that you usually get. I GAVE THEM A DRAWING OF WHAT I WANTED....VERY SIMPLE. STICK FIGURE PEOPLE WITH BLOCK LETTERS. Got it back completely wrong, but they taped the drawing of what I wanted on the box, I guess to show me that they didnt do what I asked for. I took that one to another bakery, they scraped off the old decoration and redid it....an hour before the party. Today I wanted chocolate fudge icing, so it would be dark, with light green decoration, so the light green would show up nicely against the dark chocolate, with shamrocks. Pick it up.....the lightest brown chocolate you can imagine with Army green writing and trim. I guess it must be me. Karen Wooten......you are a decorating GENIUS!
