1 in 5 Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan suffer from Post Traumatic Stress or Major Depression. Since the U.S. went to war in Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003, about 2.5 million members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard and related Reserve and National Guard units have been deployed in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, according to Department of Defense data. Of those, more than a third were deployed more than once. Join us at The Battle Buddy Foundation as we work to make a real difference in veterans lives, and provide healing options to lessen the debilitating effects of Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, Major Depression, and other wounds of war. Founded by Veterans to Serve Veterans, The Battle Buddy Foundation is dedicated to making a positive, healing impact in the lives of injured veterans by providing service dogs at no cost, as well as Veteran Peer Support, National Community Resources, and Education for the public and corporate sectors on the issues facing our nations veterans.
