Im given #10 by Shawna Culver...1. The first two things i check out when meeting people; their smile and then their shoes. 2. I am scared of snakes; I cannot look at a snake in a magazine, TV, or at a zoo. 3. My favorite pastime is listening to music, I like several genres, but Rock is definitely my favorite. 4. On a wintery December Saturday eve in 1972 I was approached by a guy while I was at a gas station in Kinsley. He asked if I knew if there was a Chevy dealership that may be open yet at 6 p.m. as the Van he was in had quit running and sitting off the 56 highway behind the Coop gas station. I had the gas station attendant call the local Chevy dealership for him; no answer, my friend and I took him to the dealership to see if there maybe someone there; dealership was closed. He told me they had to get to Dodge City as their band was to play for a Christmas Formal that night and their transport was coming through on the same hiway, but he doubted they would see their van sitting behind the gas station. The transport had their other band members and equipment in it. Soooo, I loaded 4 members of the band Kansas in my mustang and with my friend Brenda and drove them to Dodge City CC to meet up with the other members in time to play for the Christmas Formal that night. They invited us as their guests to stay and listen to them and also invited us to a gig they were to play in Great Bend the next month....one and a half years later, their first album was on the best seller list. 5. I have a passion for shoes and I sneak in a new pair quite often. When my huband says oh another pair or shoes? I say, dont you remember, Ive had them a long time. 6. I am a Jayhawk Basketball fan deluxe. 7. I do play three muscical instruments; Alto Saxaphone, Piano, and Organ. I was a semi-professional organist for several years and gave a community recital at age seventeen. I dont play much organ anymore due to a surgically fused ankle, but am starting to retrain the foot to again work the pedal notes. 8. I am a cookie monster, so to speak. I love cookies and milk and Im particular; the cookies have to be crisp and I dont dunk them in the milk!! 9. Dale and i will be celebrating 30 years of marriage on March 1. 10. My favorite place to be is the Colorado Rockies; preferably by a water fall or stream; so serene!
