Im glad to know that I was correct when it came to Comcast dropping support for my old cable modem. However, I should have guessed that when I asked the support rep where I could go to get a new cable modem ASAP that I would be given a fools errand. I wound up getting the replacement at Radio Shack where they seemed reasonably knowledgeable when it came to what equipment worked with Comcast. I should have gone there last night.
