Im helping Athena research for a school paper on the 2008 financial crisis. We picked this subject because it is a real eye opener for a youngster like Athena. To see that congress is slipping this into legislation as we speak, just to make sure the tax payers WILL be responsible for banks risky and irresponsible practices, makes me want to vomit. That fact that Citigroup wrote this part of the bill....I mean, really?!? The bill continues by saying that the government would be shut down if the government doesnt abide by this crap written by Citigroup. I knew many details about the 2008 crisis after it happened. But really studying it with Athena 6 years after the fact, brings facts to light that are truly unthinkable. So to see now that at THIS time congress is ensuring that the bankers get richer, the system gets more corrupt, and the people pay....it is truly surreal. Its like a nightmare I cant wake up from.
