Im not sure what the public consensus is for Coco Palms, but I believe our elected officials and the leaders at the County of Kauai have the power to make or break this project. There are interested local investors willing to risk private funds to rebuild, why not give them a chance. I say, make an exception to this proposed rule, attach some time-sensitive stipulations to the new developer. We got nothing to lose, unless of course the County decides to condemn the property then we the tax-payers will be paying for it. What say you?
