Im one of those lads that missed Wigan too young by a couple of years, but brought up on the legend of Wigan. Every Monday after the older lads had been to a niter, theyd bring their tapes onto the Rec (Great Orme. Llandudno) and wed listen to them trying to figure out the tunes etc, Morcambe onwards was my time. However we all knew we could never replace Wigan or even attempt to, it was a moment in time But we did have a fantastic time at numerous events afterward, at least trying to keep the legacy of Wheel, Va-vas, Torch, Catacombs, Yate, Wigan, Mecca, Arbroath (Smokeys) and so many other places moving on and alive.
