Im remembering an experience I had in the bus station in Jinhua, Zhejiang, China a few years ago. I took a note written in Chinese by a student telling the ticket agent that I wanted two tickets to Hangzhou for Friday morning ay 8am. This was Wednesday. When I left the window I saw that the tickets were for WEDNESDAY..today! I looked for someone to help and approached a guide. I showed her the note and the tickets but she ignored the note and got excited because the bus for the ( wrong) tickets was about to leave. She took my arm and started pulling be to the departing bus. Another guide got my other arm and pulled. At the same time, a small boy held a cup up to me begging. I couldnt respond to the little boy, so he wrapped his legs and one arm around my leg. The bus left while I was resisting and I finally got the guides to read the note. By this time there was a crowd gathered watching. When I got the correct tickets I gave a thumbs up and said OK and the whole crowd shouted OK!
