Im sitting in the grass on a overpass overlooking I 20. Waiting on a wall bearing the names of our veterans killed n service n a country far far away from here. They too prolly sat on grassy hillsides n thought about home. About how they were fighting a war maybe they didnt believe but for a country they did. About not bein able to tell the good guys from the bad. About kids carrying bombs n killing comrades. Little knowing or dreaming the reception they would get returning home. Heroes called baby killers n spat upon. Today that wall will b here. Lets honor them n a special way n finally say thanks. If u know a Vietnam vet shake his hand n say thanks. If not for u then for me
