Im so disgusted with the Staff and manager of the Waves Coffee House on Edmonds and Kingsway! Miquel was working when she felt the guy across from here staring at her. She could see out of the corner he was rubbing himself. Not wanting to make eye contact with him she pretending to make a phone call and turned on the video on her camera. She caught him with his junk out of the leg of his short pants full out masterbating!! She immediate told the barista and manager and the man fled. They did nothing other then say it happens...you can call the cops, if you want and then they went back to work! As though nothing happened! She then called me and I told her to call the RCMP! When I arrived to pick her up the RCMP was taking her statement and reviewing Miquels video and the stores security camera. The manager and barista tried to act concerned when I got there and I asked them both why didnt you call the cops? Why didnt you do something? The barista just stuttered and said it happens and they both tried to lie to me and said Miquel should have not waited and come to them. The manager also tried to say it happened when it was still light. I then pulled up the video on her phone and showed him the date and time it happened. He then tried to say hes a good guy looking out for people. Im so angry! At the sicko who obviously has mental issues thinking he can get away with this. It makes me even more angry that the staff did nothing other then lie to me and the RCMP and try to half assed blame Miquel. I am so blown away that in this quite neighborhood, with lots of different ethnic groups, that people still marginalize our woman!! Especially our First Nations woman! To blame the victim! To say why didnt she do something? What did she do to bring this on?! I looked at the manger (who is not white) and asked what if this happened to one if your employes? I then asked or your Wife? Or kids? He said nothing and I said nothing sadder when so called good men do nothing! The RCMP said their have been several complaints about this guy. Hes white, 57, mid-40s, goes by the name Wayne. He was last seen wearing a white and blue baseball cap, a blue zip up jacket with two white stripes going down each arm, camo shorts, black shoes. The police have Miquels video and the waves security video. She has also sent a letter to cooperate office of Waves, reporting the manager and staff. Needless to say Waves Coffee have lost us as customers.
